CLIENTS TRAINED TO BECOME LEADERS AND EXECUTIVES
In 2019, Specialty Family Foundation continued our partnership with Homeboy Industries by investing an additional $25,000 to support a second cohort of future leaders promoted from within the organization. To date, Homeboy Industries’ leadership development program has trained eight former clients to help lead the organization forward as they expand their reach — giving more at-risk individuals a second chance at life.
Launched as a non-profit organization focused on transforming the lives of
former gang members in East LA, Homeboy Industries is now the largest gang rehabilitation and re-entry program in the world. Specialty Family Foundation began partnering with Homeboy Industries in 2009, and has seen this organization flourish into a global model for innovative intervention, rehab, and re-entry for people involved in the criminal justice system.
