The Specialty Family Foundation, located in Santa Monica, CA, is a non-profit foundation dedicated to eliminating the conditions that lead to persistent poverty. Founded in 2007 by the late Dr. James B. Peter and his wife Joan, the Foundation envisions a world where the problems of substance abuse and low-quality education no longer plague low-income communities.
The Specialty Family Foundation is proud to work with substance-abuse treatment centers and inner-city Catholic schools in stemming the problems at the heart of poverty. Working hand-in-hand with these worthy programs the Foundation hopes to encourage hope and growth in these resilient communities.
